I'm in a state of shock right now... even though the incident happened at least 15 hours ago.
Around 3 a.m this morning my mom received a call from my sister. What she said shocked all of us. The building she was currently staying at caught on fire. The cause of the fires were some wires that malfunctioned in the elevator.
The fire started on the second floor and raged to at least the third floor... my sister was residing in the 10th floor.
We were relieved she was alive, but her boyfriend's friend Frazell is temporarily displaced. And all of my sister's stuff is still in the apartment (her clothes, her purse, cellphone, belongings, etc.)
I'm so happy my sister is safe, but I'm worried because how she has no where to stay. And I recently read that part of the apartment complex has collapsed... so I'm worried that she lost everything.
I'm praying that nothing will go wrong and she is still safe. She hasn't called us since 7 in the morning.
I kindly ask all of you to keep my sister in your prayers. I can't stand to think of losing the closest thing to me. Please and thank you.

It might be rough for your sis but hopefully she is a strong enough person to get through this (not to mention she has her family for some form of support). It may be hard for a bit but I am sure that she WILL get back on her feet ok and someday she and your family will have the "great fire story of '08" to tell. =3
